Our story
Who is behind the creation
We are Lukáš and Dominika Heuser, two natives of Lučenec, brought together not only by love, but also by a passion for gastronomy. It was our “Origin” that inspired us to name our restaurant and also to return home after years spent in Switzerland.
It was there that we gained valuable experience in various kitchen roles, in service, and in the management of gastronomic operations. This diverse and intensive school of life shaped us profoundly, and today we translate it into every detail of our restaurant—from our approach to ingredients to service and the overall guest experience.
We decided to return to where it all began—to the city that shaped our values and our dreams. We wanted to create a place that serves the community we hold close to our hearts, while reflecting the very best of our experience. Origin is not just a restaurant; it is our personal project, into which we have poured everything—our knowledge, our precision, and above all, a part of ourselves.
For us, gastronomy is a way to bring people together, tell stories, and create unforgettable moments and friendships. We believe that good food has the power to build relationships—and that is why we are here: to create, together with you, a place where people meet, taste, share, and enjoy life.
Our philosophy
At Origin, we believe that beauty lies in simplicity. Our philosophy is based on freshness, honest quality, and respect for ingredients. Our kitchen is a lively space where tradition is passionately combined with modern techniques. We follow the principle of “zero waste,” so every ingredient finds a meaningful place on our plates.
We rely on seasonal ingredients from local and Slovak suppliers, but at the same time we enthusiastically discover lesser-known and unusual flavors. Combined with domestic products, these create a colorful palette that appeals to the senses and brings a new dimension to food.
Our vision is to create not only a great gastronomic experience for you, but also an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility. We want you to leave us satisfied, with a smile on your face and a desire to come back again.
